Leren voor Duurzame Ontwikkeling in het Onderwijs

In het programma DuurzaamDoor werken we planmatig aan Leren voor Duurzame Ontwikkeling in het Onderwijs in Nederland. Daarbij volgen we ook de internationale ontwikkelingen rond ‘Education for Sustainable Development’ (ESD) en worden contacten onderhouden. DuurzaamDoor fungeert als National Focal Point ESD voor UNESCO en voor:

• UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization:
  “UNESCO seeks to build peace through international cooperation in Education, the Sciences and Culture. UNESCO's programmes contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals defined in Agenda 2030, adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2015.”
• UNECE, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe:
  “The main aim of the UNECE Strategy for ESD is to encourage countries to integrate ESD into all forms of their education systems and covers all levels from primary to tertiary, including vocational and adult learning.”
